When you've a sudden expense, we got your back with our emergency cash service.

All you have to do is hit the emergency cash button that appears on your SteadyPay dashboard. We'll drawdown a fixed amount of credit from your top-up facility and advance it to your bank account.

Unlike the top-up service, you don't have to be paid below average to access this credit. The emergency cash service is there for when you need it.

What's more, if you’re consistent with your subscription and instalment payments we'll look at increasing the amount of emergency cash you can access.

How do I repay the emergency cash?

When you hit the emergency cash button, we’ll represent you with an instalment plan.

If you’re already repaying a top-up, we’ll simply add the emergency cash to your balance and reset your instalment plan.

We automatically collect instalments from your debit card on the due dates. Alternatively, you can pay an instalment early - just use the optional payment feature on the app.

And the best thing - once you’ve repaid the emergency cash, you can access the service again!

What if I login but can’t see the service?

Have you installed the latest version of the SteadyPay app? You can download it from Google Play or the Apple Store.

Have you paid the subscription for two weeks? Once that happens the emergency cash service (as well as top-ups and credit building) is activated.

If you still can't see the service this will be due to one of the following reasons:

  • You're behind in your subscription and/or instalment payments
  • You've reached your credit limit
  • You're in a repayment holiday

Once you’ve brought your account up to date, you should able to access the emergency cash service.
