If you’ve recently submitted a CashWave credit request, you may need to wait before making another one.
This is because CashWave has a request cooldown period. The cooldown period is the waiting time before you can submit another CashWave credit request, based on your current credit limit.
This measure helps us protect your account, prevent fraudulent activity, and make sure each request is properly checked and processed safely.
What is the CashWave request cooldown period?
The CashWave request cooldown period is the amount of time you need to wait before submitting another CashWave credit request.
The cooldown depends on your current CashWave credit limit:
CashWave credit limit | Cooldown period before another request |
£50 | 1 day / 24 hours |
£100 | 1 day / 24 hours |
£200 | 7 days |
£300 | 7 days |
£500 | 14 days |
Why is there a 24-hour cooldown for £50 and £100 limits?
For lower CashWave limits, our system allows one credit request every 24 hours.
This cooldown helps ensure that each request is reviewed and processed correctly. It also helps protect your account from unusual or repeated activity in a short period of time.
If you’ve recently submitted a request at the £50 or £100 limit, please wait 24 hours before trying again.
Why is there a 7-day cooldown for £200 and £300 limits?
For higher CashWave limits of £200 and £300, the cooldown period is 7 days.
As the credit limit increases, we apply a longer cooldown to support responsible lending and account safety. This gives our system enough time to monitor account activity, repayment behaviour, and affordability before another request is made.
This helps us make sure that any further borrowing remains suitable and manageable.
Why is there a 14-day cooldown for the £500 limit?
The £500 CashWave limit is the highest available limit, so it has the longest request cooldown period of 14 days.
Because this is a larger credit amount, we take extra care to ensure requests are made responsibly and that account activity continues to meet our checks.
The 14-day cooldown helps protect customers from making repeated high-limit requests too quickly, while also helping us maintain the security and integrity of the CashWave product.
Does the cooldown mean my limit has changed?
No. The cooldown period does not mean your CashWave limit has changed.
It only means you need to wait before submitting another credit request. Your available limit and eligibility may still depend on your account history, repayment behaviour, affordability checks, and other internal checks.
Will I automatically be approved after the cooldown ends?
Once the cooldown period ends, you may be able to submit another request, but approval is not guaranteed.
This is still subject to eligibility and affordability checks.
Can the cooldown period be removed manually?
In most cases, the cooldown period cannot be removed manually.
It is applied automatically by our system to help keep your account secure and to ensure all CashWave activity is properly reviewed.
What should I do if I see this message in the app?
If the app says you cannot make another CashWave request yet, please wait until your cooldown period has passed.
Depending on your limit, this will be:
24 hours for £50 and £100 limits
7 days for £200 and £300 limits
14 days for the £500 limit
After this time, you can check the app again to see whether another request is available.
